Speaking at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco Wednesday night, he compared homosexuality to alcoholism.
"I may have the genetic coding that I'm inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that," Perry said.

On Tuesday, the Texas governor ruffled some feathers by driving up to the state capital in a Tesla electric car, which underscored his desire to lure a Tesla battery factory to his state.
