Scientists Work to Understand Lessons of Rim Fire

Several people were injured by the fire,  almost a dozen homes burned.  It's costing the state 125 million dollars and the fire is still burning, over a month after it started.  Scientists are pointing to poor forest management as the reason why it grew so out of control.  So,  more controlled burns could be in the future for Caliornia forests.  The "Rim Fire" was at its worst,  when it was burning in parts of the Stanislaus national forest, where decades of growth went un-checked
