A shooting incident this afternoon in South Sacramento sends two young men to area hospitals and has investigators looking for witnesses.
A flurry of 911 calls began to come in just before two o'clock this afternoon regarding a gathering of people with guns and shots fired. The incident happened near 44th ave & Martin Luther King blvd.
Sgt. Lisa Bowman says deputies arrived to find a man who'd been shot laying in the street.
"There was a lot of chaos, a lot of people who were pretty much involved in the shooting scene, but unfortunately nobody really has a good description of the suspect that they're willing to give us," she said.
As authorities went door to door looking for witnesses, the victim was taken to a local hospital. A second man was also hit by a bullet. He sought hospital treatment on his own. Each of the victims is said to be between 18-20 years old.
There's still no information as to the identity of the shooter.
