Foster Farms Will Not Be Shut Done Over Contamination

The USDA will not be shutting down the Central Valley Foster Farms plants over a salmonella outbreak that has sickened three hundred people in eighteen states. Most of those cases have been reported in California and across the West, but we've also seen new reports of infections in Florida. Ag officials say Foster Farms has implemented immediate changes to their slaughter and processing procedures. Inspectors will be increasing sampling for the disease over the next 90 days.
