Car Theft Plot Foiled When Thieves Can't Drive Stick Shift

Nancy Fredrickson, 70, of Seattle was getting some things out of her car on Saturday when she was approached by would-be thieves, one of whom pointed a gun in her face.

One of the teens got a hold of her keys and the rest of the group climbed into the car, ready to make their escape. But...

"I got five-speed in the there, and they couldn't figure out how to get it going," she said.

They couldn't drive a stick! They got away on foot, which is fortunate for them. Nancy has a black belt in karate.
