Cal-OSHA Not Meeting Standards

A public employee group out of Washington DC says Cal-OSHA is so severely understaffed and underfunded that it's not meeting its own standards - placing employees at job sites all over the state at risk.

It's said that at the end of 2013 there were 170 inspectors to look into safety violations, toxic spills and heat exposure for farmworkers. The number marks an eleven percent decline from just two years before. OSHA has responded that it shares some employees and will recieve more money in this year's budget.
