Trains loaded with highly flammable crude oil are reportedly coming through Sacramento without the required advance notice for emergency officials.
The California Office Of Emergency Services says the trains are filled with a type of crude oil that's even more flammable than standard crude.
There is concern the shipments could present a real danger to homes and businesses near the tracks.
The Department Of Transportation issued a emergency order last month requiring rail carriers to give states advance warning of shipments of a million gallons or more, but the O.E.S says in California they are getting weeks old data on trains that have already come through.
O.E.S. officials are trying to meet with the rail companies to improve the situation.
