SACRAMENTO -- A local pro-arena group is appealing to Seattle investor Chris Hansen, asking him not to hand over signatures he's collected for the STOP Campaign.
Josh Wood is with DowntownArena.org. He says that the $100,000 Hansen gave to Southern California law firm was used to fund an effort to collect signatures that would be handed over to STOP -- which wants to put the arena on the ballot.
"We're asking him not to give the signatures from the campaign he funded over to STOP," Wood said.
Wood says that the signatures that Hansen has collected would account for about 80 percent of the signatures gathered by STOP. Wood says that so far he has not received a response from Hansen, but that a lot Seattle media is responding by agreeing with the letter.
