RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. -- Representatives of Covered California will soon officially open California's new health benefit exchange at the Covered California Service Center in Rancho Cordova.
The official opening is next Tuesday, but officials are already preparing for the launch of the state's health exchange as part of the federal health care law implementation on Oct. 1.
The enrollment continues through March 31, 2014.
Officials says Covered California will enroll individuals, families, and small businesses in quality, affordable health care.
They can also find out if they qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal.
The Rancho Cordova grand opening is the first of five events taking place across California.
