STUDY: Where You Live Could Increase Your Chance of Stroke

A new study out of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences says where you live could increase your chances of having a stroke.

Neighborhoods with high poverty and low educational levels see higher stroke-related deaths.

According to researchers, Arkansas leads the nation in stroke deaths per capita, with nearly 2,000 residents succumbing to it every year.

Other findings: A majority of the deaths across the country are African Americans. Tomorrow is World Stroke Day.
